Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 2026
This policy explains what information this site collects and how it is used, in plain language. It is provided for general information and is not legal advice. If you have specific legal obligations, take advice from a qualified professional.
What We Collect
This site is a content and comparison site. We do not require an account to use it, and we do not ask you to submit personal details to read the guides or comparisons.
- Email you send us: If you email hello@startupemailmarketing.com, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include. We use it only to respond to your message and to correct or improve the content you write about.
- Usage data: Like most websites, our hosting provider may process standard request logs (such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested) for security and operational purposes. We do not attempt to identify individuals from these logs.
- Cookies and analytics: We keep analytics minimal. If analytics or affiliate cookies are ever enabled, this policy will be updated to describe them before they go live.
How We Use Information
Information we receive is used to operate the site, to respond to email, and to improve the accuracy of our comparisons. We do not sell personal information, and we do not build advertising profiles from site traffic.
Email Communications
If you email us, we may keep the correspondence so we can follow up on corrections or questions. We do not add people who email us to a marketing list without a clear opt-in, and any list we operate in the future will include a one-click unsubscribe in every message.
Third-Party Services
We link to third-party websites, including email platform vendors. Those sites have their own privacy policies, which we do not control. We recommend reading a vendor's policy before signing up for any service. Our hosting and any analytics providers may process limited technical data on our behalf under their own terms.
How We Handle Vendor Claims
Our pages describe what vendors say about their own products. When a vendor makes a claim about security, compliance, or integration capabilities, we either hedge it or point you to the vendor's own documentation rather than repeating it as our own finding. We do not assert compliance certifications on behalf of any vendor, including tools we rank highly. Where an enterprise requirement matters — SSO, audit reports, data residency — our guidance is to confirm directly with the vendor what it can provide today.
Data Retention
Email correspondence is kept only as long as it remains useful for answering questions or maintaining the accuracy of the site, and is deleted when it is no longer needed. Request-log retention is set by our hosting provider.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over personal data relating to you, such as requesting access to it or asking us to delete correspondence we hold. To exercise any such right, email us at hello@startupemailmarketing.com with enough detail to identify the information. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe and explain what we can and cannot do under the rules that apply to us.
Children
This site is written for startup founders and marketing teams. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to This Policy
If we change how the site works in a way that affects this policy — for example, adding a newsletter or enabling detailed analytics — we will update this page and the "last updated" date above. Significant changes will be described in plain language rather than buried.
